Actually, it must be mulch season! Abra and Thalia called this "Mount Mulch" and had a ball playing on it. Their parents -- not so much of a ball hauling it all around the yard. But the gardens look better, and next time we might get away with a bit less (maybe 5 yards instead of 7?)...

Looks like the 17 year Cicada Reunion is in your driveway. "Ah, mom? There's a bunch of bugs in our driveway."
Reminds me of the time Helen was about to stomp the ants on the sidewalk and Abra screamed, "NO! They're just hungry!!" And then she immediately began ripping out blades of grass and tossing on top of them. Relatively speaking, I think the little mites might have been screaming back something like "Timber!! Timber!!"
BTW -- she's getting taller.
